Ingredients
- 1 bag (12 oz) Quorn Meatless Grounds
- 1 tbsp of oil
- ½ red onion, finely diced
- ½ red pepper, finely diced
- ½ yellow pepper, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1/2 cooked green/French lentils
- 3/4 cup whole wheat breadcrumbs
- 1 egg yolk, beaten
- 8-10 basil leaves, finely shredded
- Season to taste with salt & freshly ground black pepper
Method
- Pre-heat the oven to 400°F
- Heat the oil in a frying pan and gently fry the onion and peppers for 3-4 minutes, now add the garlic and smoked paprika and cook for a further 2 minutes
- Place the onions and peppers into a bowl and combine the Quorn Meatless Grounds, tomato paste, lentils, breadcrumbs, egg, basil and seasoning, mix gently until all the ingredients are combined
- Divide the mixture in to 6- 8 equal amounts and form into a burger shape
- Place onto a lightly greased baking sheet and cook for 10-12 minutes. Serve in a bun of your choice with fresh green salad
